NAFRUSoftware x Development

SaaS development: from idea to the first paying release.

SaaS development is the work of turning software into a product that is accessed in the browser and sold by subscription: accounts and permissions, a multi-tenant data model, payments, an admin panel and the site that explains the product are built together. NAFRU doesn't do this only for clients; it builds its own five SaaS products the same way, with EduMoodUp live, Finbula, Context and NAFRU Scout in beta, and NAFRU Email in development.

( 00-01 ) • PROBLEM

The three places SaaS ideas most often get stuck.

The first version never ships

Every feature wants to be in the first release. We cut the scope down to the smallest flow that lets a user pay; the rest goes on the roadmap.

The architecture cracks at the second customer

Code written for a single customer can't keep data apart when a second organization signs up. We build multi-tenancy and permissions in from day one.

There is a product but no page that explains it

The dashboard is ready, but visitors can't tell what they are buying. The same team builds the marketing site alongside the product, using real screens.

( 00-02 ) • SCOPE

What we deliver in a SaaS development project.

MVP scope and roadmap

What goes into the first release, what waits and in what order it follows are put in writing.

Multi-tenant application

Accounts, roles and permissions keep each customer's data separate from everyone else's.

Subscriptions and payments

Plans, trial periods, invoicing and the payment provider integration are built as part of the product.

Marketing site and content

A multilingual site that explains the product, a pricing page and a blog launch in the same design language.

( 00-03 ) • PROCESS

A SaaS project runs in four steps.

  1. 01

    Scope

We define the target user, the core flow and the limits of the first release together.

  2. 02

    Prototype

We make the main screens clickable and test the flow before writing code.

  3. 03

    Development

The application, payments and admin panel move forward in short cycles, working at every step.

  4. 04

    Launch and measurement

The product goes live; sign-up, activation and payment steps are measured and improved.

( 00-04 ) • FAQ

Frequently asked questions.

What is an MVP, and what should the first version include?

An MVP is the smallest version that lets a user see the product's main benefit and pay for it. Sign-up, the core flow and payment are usually enough; reports and extra integrations can come later.

Does NAFRU have its own SaaS products?

Yes. EduMoodUp is live; Finbula, Context and NAFRU Scout are in beta, and NAFRU Email is in development. We try the method we use on client projects on our own products first.

Which technologies do you use?

It depends on the project; we mostly work with TypeScript, React, Next.js, Astro, PostgreSQL and Cloudflare infrastructure.

Does development continue after launch?

Yes. We can keep working together on maintenance, new features and improvements based on measurement.
