BetaProductivity · Local-first workspace

Context: notes, tasks, files, and passwords on your device first.

Context is a local-first personal workspace that keeps notes, tasks, files, and passwords in one place. Your data is stored on your own device first; note content is not sent to the Context server. It is developed by NAFRU and is in beta.

( 00-01 ) • FEATURES

Four jobs in a single workspace.

Notes and drawing

Notes are written in Markdown; there are canvas notes for handwriting and drawing. Content is stored on your device and searched locally.

Tasks from inside the note

Tasks are not kept in a separate list; they are derived from the checkboxes in your notes. You track a job in the place where you wrote it.

Files and PDFs

You can attach files and PDFs to notes and annotate PDFs. Attachments also stay on your device.

Encrypted password vault

Passwords and one-time codes are kept in a vault encrypted with AES-GCM. The key is derived from your vault password; a recovery phrase and a password generator are also included.

( 00-02 ) • WHO IT'S FOR

Who is Context useful for?

People who want to keep their data on their own device

Users who care that their notes sit on their own device rather than on a company server.

People who want to consolidate scattered tools

Those looking for a single place instead of using four separate apps for notes, to-dos, files, and passwords.

Students and teachers

Those who keep class notes, PDFs, and handwriting in the same place. An education plan verified with a school email address is defined.

( 00-03 ) • FAQ

Frequently asked questions about Context.

What is Context?

Context is a local-first personal workspace that keeps notes, tasks, files, and passwords in one place. Data is stored on your device first. It is NAFRU's own SaaS product and is in beta.

Where is my data kept in Context?

Notes, drawings, and attachments are stored on your device; note content is not sent to the Context server. The server holds only account, session, device, and payment information.

Is Context end-to-end encrypted?

The password vault is encrypted on your device with AES-GCM, and the key is derived from your vault password. Notes and files are stored on your device, but we do not currently claim end-to-end encryption for content outside the vault.

Which platforms does Context run on?

Context runs in the browser and on the desktop (macOS, Windows, Linux). iOS and Android apps are in development. The interface is available in Turkish and English.
